DESCRIPTION: Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo., "Fashion No. 3" shelf clock with a Seth Thomas spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement and R. T. Andrews perpetual calendar mechanism, in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in very nice condition and retains its original finish. There is one small ding on the right hand side of the door. The time dial has age and is likely original. The calendar dial has been repainted. The hands are original. The door glass and Fashion insignia are original. The interior Seth Thomas case label is in excellent condition. The movement is signed. The calendar drum papers are original. The pendulum with a central star is correct.

DESCRIPTION: Prentiss Improvement Clock Co., 49 Dey St., New York, NY, "Empire with Calendar" wall clock with a spring driven 60 or 90 day movement with a Henry S. Prentiss patented perpetual calendar mechanism in an oak case.
CONDITION: The oak case is in nice condition and has been refinished. The paper dial is a replacement. The hands are original. The calendar cards are replaced. The glasses are all original.The movement is stamped " 825" and "6157".

DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Office Calendar No. 1" wall clock with a weight driven 8 day timepiece movement and a Mix Brothers patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with several areas of veneer patching. There is some minor veneer lifting on the door edge. The whole case has been refinished and now has a glossy surface which needs to be toned down. The dials have been professionally repainted. The calendar dial has a small circular cutout (not original) to allow pendulum bob visibility. The minute hand is original. The hour hand has the right age, but has been repaired. The calendar hand is a later replacement. The calendar drum papers have age and appear to be original. The weight is a later replacement. Both door glasses are original.

DESCRIPTION: L. F. & W. W. Carter, Bristol, Conn., wall hanging clock with a weight driven 8 day double wind timepiece movement and a B. B. Lewis patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case with grained wooden bezels.
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with some original finish and some graining on the wooden bezels which is hard to see due to the darkening of the finish. There is a small repair area where the seams join on the time dial bezel on the lower right hand side. The case base appears replaced, or restored due to a runaway weight. The time dial is in very good condition and appears original. The time and calendar hands are all original. The calendar dial is in good condition with several minor areas of loss. The time and calendar door glasses do not appear old. The lower door glass is original with some restoration to the back and gilt design. Label present inside the case

Lot#: 294

DESCRIPTION: Jerome & Co., New Haven, Conn., 8 day, double wind spring powered brass lever movement made by LaPorte Hubbell, Bristol, Conn., with calendar mechanism patented by Alonzo Boardman in 1865. These clocks had movements that ran 8, 15 or 30 days. Without testing, we believe this one to be 8 days, but possibly longer duration. This is a rare calendar clock.
CONDITION: Refinished mahogany and mahogany veneered case is in nice condition. Original painted dial has some surface roughness in spots with minor loss and now has a clear coat on it to stabilize the paint. Hands appear to be original with the minute hand a little short. Two labels on the back.

The door glass and the Fashion insignia appear original. The interior Seth Thomas case label is in good condition. The movement is signed. The calendar drum papers are original and show age. The three finials are incorrectly shaped replacements. The correct pendulum bob with key are stored in the base compartment, accessible through the small door from the back of the case.

CONDITION: The case is in nice condition with original finish, darkened with age. The original painted time dial shows significant loss while the original painted calendar dial shows some loss. The hands are all original. The door glass and the Fashion insignia are original with significant fading to the insignia. The movement is signed. The calendar drum papers are original and have significantly darkened with age. One of the smaller finials has loss to the top. The correct pendulum bob is stored in the base compartment, accessible through the small door from the back of the case.

DESCRIPTION: Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo., "Fashion No. 6" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day Seth Thomas time and strike movement and an 1879 R. T Andrews patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case with black paper dials.
CONDITION: The original finish has darkened significantly. The original painted dials have warped a bit. The hands are original. One of the smaller top finials has a replaced tip. There is some veneer loss adjacent to the time dial pan. The movement is signed. The nickel pendulum bob is nicely damascened.
