DESCRIPTION: Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo., "Fashion No. 4" shelf clock with a Seth Thomas spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement and R.T. Andrews perpetual calendar mechanism in a walnut case.
CONDITION: The case is in nice condition with original finish, darkened with age. The original painted time dial shows significant loss while the original painted calendar dial shows some loss. The hands are all original. The door glass and the Fashion insignia are original with significant fading to the insignia. The movement is signed. The calendar drum papers are original and have significantly darkened with age. One of the smaller finials has loss to the top. The correct pendulum bob is stored in the base compartment, accessible through the small door from the back of the case.
