CONDITION: mahogany veneered case in with an old finish in fair condition with some breaks in the veneer on the center strip. Original painted dial is fairly clean, but the center area paint is rough. Short drop movement is correct and the hands are original. Turned feet are later additions. Chimney caps are missing and the eagle splat is modern and looks to have been carved with a Dremel type tool, and is too narrow for the opening. Partial label inside case. Ht 33"

CONDITION: the case back is recent plywood, and the movement installed a few degrees off level. Otherwise the front is in "exceptional" original condition, with original stenciling very good, the MOP intact, and hand painting of two birds below the dial is excellent. The bell is a jello mold drilled in the center. The sister to this case is pictured in Brooks Palmer's "Treasury of American Clocks", page 178. Nice enough to warrant mov't restoration. Ht 20"
