DESCRIPTION: Johann Albrecht Lerb, Regenspurg, German 8 day table clock with pull quarter repeat and alarm, the ebonized case on cast brass feet and with molded base, stepped molded top, and break arch door with flanking pierced brass frets at top, gilt, repousse dial with matted center and mock pendulum below 12:00, signed roman numeral pewter chapter ring, and pierced blued steel hands, 8 day movement with baluster pillars, recoil escapement, rise and fall regulation, the pull quarter repeating and alarm sounding on a single bell
CONDITION: case with wear and minor joint separation, minor loss to door at lower hinge, left base molding reattached, the corners with glue residue, top with small holes indicating an absent handle, rear door fret with splits and minor loss at upper right, dial good, chapter ring with minor tarnish, hands good, movement dirty, running and repeating correctly, alarm functional.

DESCRIPTION: England, an unusual mid 19th century oak bracket or gallery clock with carved eagle shelf, the case bottom with cockbead bordered peaked molding veneered in a chevron pattern, four blind pierced gothic foil spandrels surrounding the molded brass bezel and white painted roman numeral dial with pierced steel hands, and cock beaded frieze below a projecting cornice, the whole resting on a veneered plinth forming the clock's base, supported by a carved eagle with outstretched wings and perched on a branch with pendant nuts and foliage, the case sides with arched doors containing glazed, pierced frets, 8 day two train fusee movement with shouldered plates, with recoil escapement, and counting the hours on a bell
CONDITION: case in an old polish, cock bead at right side of base missing, minor losses to veneer, case front with split over 11:00 and below 7:00, dial with some discoloration and rubbing to numerals, dial screws replaced, hands good, bezel catch a poor quality replacement, detached, shelf with minor losses to veneer, eagle with small loss to left wing tip, glass eye broken, movement dirty, ticks and strikes, needs service, pendulum replaced

CONDITION: clock case in a good old finish, front with a few minor splits, case top also with minor splits, sound frets with replaced fabric backing, two minor veneer losses on case back, bezel with added tab to assist opening, dial good, hands with a few specks of oxide, one movement mounting screw missing, back plate with punching and crude bushing work at time train second and third wheels, pendulum tie and screw missing, pendulum rating nut an incorrect replacement, movement ticking and striking, bracket with small chip at lower right corner, otherwise very good

DESCRIPTION: Comitti, London, a gold plated "Navigator" table clock with original crate and accessories, the 8 day timepiece movement with gold plated, balloon form skeletonized plates and four wheel train, roman numeral silvered dial below an arabic numeral sector displaying the seconds, the seconds being concentric with the large escape wheel and flanked by a pair of barbell form compound pendulums alternately engaging the grasshopper pallets, mounted to a rectangular, burl walnut veneered base with drawer and brass trimmed Perspex dome, all contained in the original storage crate, crate dimensions listed
CONDITION: the clock is in nearly "as new" condition with some minor smudges and marks from handling, accessories include the winding key, factory paperwork, white gloves, a copy of Dava Sobel's "Longitude", allen wrench, packing materials, and outer box. The clock will run for a short time; adjustment will be required for reliable operation. According to the manufacturer, this clock was designed as a tribute to John Harrison and his H1 timepiece.
