English fusee timepiece with platform escapement, now housed in a large case of recent manufacture, 8 days, brass movement with round plates and Swiss jeweled platform escapement, Roman numeral, white painted metal dial, black painted spade and poker hands, heavy brass bezel with beveled glass, mahogany veneered case with cherry moldings, reeded columns, arch top, and with drawer in the base, 22.75in
CONDITION:
Case with minor marks and scratches, top with some veneer blisters, some separation at joints in moldings, glass with minor scratches, bezel with minor tarnish, polish residue and verdigris, dial with some inpainting, hands originally blued, now painted, movement running.
