DESCRIPTION: George Glasham, London, a highly ornamental carved mahogany bracket clock with original shelf, the case with polished mahogany veneers and applied, deeply carved floral and foliate carvings, roman numeral silvered dial with blued steel spade hands, case sides with pierced sound frets, and back with glazed door, brass two train fusee movement with heavy brass clad pendulum and striking the hours on a bell, with its original wall mounted shelf, the top with wide undulating molding supported by a large, deeply carved acanthus corbel
CONDITION: clock case in a good old finish, front with a few minor splits, case top also with minor splits, sound frets with replaced fabric backing, two minor veneer losses on case back, bezel with added tab to assist opening, dial good, hands with a few specks of oxide, one movement mounting screw missing, back plate with punching and crude bushing work at time train second and third wheels, pendulum tie and screw missing, pendulum rating nut an incorrect replacement, movement ticking and striking, bracket with small chip at lower right corner, otherwise very good
