DESCRIPTION:
A large figural swinger, the patinated spelter figure of a conquistador standing on a molded round base, left hand at his hip, with his right arm held aloft supporting the combination compound pendulum/ clock case, the upper patinated sphere containing the movement and with applied, stylized roman numerals and pierced and engraved hands, above the three rod, faux gridiron pendulum terminating in a smaller patinated sphere
CONDITION:
figure early 20th century, bronzed surface in good condition, with minor losses and touch ups, plinth added, the torch in his right hand modified to accept a swinging clock, the clock/ pendulum assembly late 20th century, made up of new and old parts
