DESCRIPTION: Austria, a second quarter 19th century painting clock, the wide cavetto molded ebonized frame with gilt liner, the painting on wooden panel featuring a church with walled yard and a clock in the tower, the background with buildings and a bridge, left foreground with a fountain, the right with an obelisk form monument, and populated with figures strolling about, 3 train two day quarter striking movement, repeating the last quarter and hour on demand, and with an auxiliary "church bell" movement attached below the time movement with pull winding, circular rack and three hammers
CONDITION: frame with dirt and wear, liner with restoration to gilding, case back missing, with fine cracquelure, minor splits and inpainting, hands replaced, movement with significant tarnish and oxidation, trains under power but not functioning, quarter hammer missing, auxiliary movement will run, gathering pallet missing
