Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn., 'Office Calendar No. 1' wall clock with a weight driven 8 day timepiece movement (with maintaining power) and a Mix Brothers patented perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case.
CONDITION: The refinished case is in good condition. The two dial support bezels have been nicely re-veneered. The original veneer shows the typical joint issues, while minor in nature, usually seen on this model due to the nature of the curves and joints. Both original dials have have had a coating (perhaps shellac) applied over the original paint now aged to a light brown transparent finish. The hands are original. The hour hand is loose on the center post. Both clear door glasses are replaced. Original calendar drum papers were also coated with the same finish as the dials. Retains black and gilt label.
