DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Hall Clock No. 23" Variant, 8 day, time and strike on gong, brass weight driven movement in an oak case with beveled glass trunk door and 12inch silvered metal dial
CONDITION: the case has been refinished and has a blotchy appearance. The catalog calls for a cathedral bell, but this movement strikes on a gong. The silvered dial is in fair condition with minor wear, and suspension is broken. This case is very simialr to the Hall Clock No. 23 but wtihout a scroll top and differently designed columns on the hood. Additionally, this variant has columns on the trunk and paw feet that the No. 23 does not posess.
