DESCRIPTION:
J. R. Mills & Co., New York, (case) with Connecticut 8 day, time and strike, pendulum, spring driven brass movement.
CONDITION:
Refinished rosewood and mahogany veneered case has some loss on the base case sides. Original acid etched tablet. This case originally had an 8-day weight driven Crane torsion pendulum movement, but is now fitted with an 8 day Connecticut movement. The gong and base are from a later Conn. clock. The proper-type glass dial is a replacement. Period hands.
