AUCTION : 1019

Lot#: 840

DESCRIPTION: Reproduction 1820 Laterndluhr Vienna Regulator wall clock of long duration, regulated by a pendulum, weight driven brass movement
CONDITION: We have not tested the duration, but it is greater than 8 days and is most likely 30 days, possibly longer. This mahogany and maple case in generally nice condition has some lifting of the veneer in the bottom box behind the pendulum bob and a couple chips on the bottom bracket. The original enameled dial is fine. The seconds hand rotates once every two minutes. The steel rod pendulum runs off a knife edge suspension. The large hand indicates the minutes and based on the time of day the observer can tell that it is 3 minutes after one o'clock and not seven o'clock.
