DESCRIPTION: J.J. Elliott, London, England, hall clock, 8 day, time, strike and chime movement on the quarter hour playing Westminster, Whittington or St. Michael's tunes on nine tubular bells, in a mahogany case with full columns flanking hood and trunk door, beveled glasses on trunk on front and sides, all resting on pad feet. The brass dial has raised silver chapter ring and subsidiary seconds, all surrounded by ornately cast brass trim and spandrels with cast brass dial center, moon phase, tune and strike / silent selector rings.
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish with roughness below hood door and other minor age related scuffs and abrasions. The dial is in very good condition with some darkening to moon phase.
