CONDITION:
The case retains some original finish and has no veneer loss. The 4 finials all retain fairly sharp points. The painted dial is original but has a later curved cut out between XII and I, apparently to view the escape wheel. The hands are period, the hour hand original, the minute hand not but close. The upper door glasses are both original with the lower glass tablet showing a colorful design within a green border. The lower glass is original with another colorful design within a green border. The interior Manross label is in good condition.

England, signed Smith, Clerkenwell, c1890 chain fusee pub movement, now in a modern skeletonized frame representing Brighton Pavilion, the frame appearing to have been cut on an EDM wire machine, and then polished by hand. The silvered dial is nicely fretted and the Roman Numerals are sharply engraved and black filled. The frame surmounted by a bell that is struck once on the passing of each hour. Covered by a round glass dome and mounted on a turned walnut base.
CONDITION:
this clock is generally clean and is running robustly. Some file marks remain within the fretted areas that could be polished out, but overall the woman did a good job of finished the frames. Original chain is intact.

European (Continental), small bracket clock, late 18th century, with fusee / crown wheel / pivoted pendulum movement, and engraved brass dial, in a primitive bell top case of English appearance, with slide-up back and with restorations. Approx 3 day duration (6 rounded channels in fusee) .
CONDITION:
gut is worn and needs replacing, but was strong enough for a little wind and to show that the movement is running. Movement is held to a seat board via screws through bottom pillars, and that board is held in case with a single wood screw at bottom. Although case is quite old, it is probably not the original for this movement. Well engraved brass dial needs silvering. Object left side molding needs re-gluing. Still an attractive adaptation of a well made movement that will appeal to those attracted to mechanics. Movement plates measure 3 x 3.5in.

However it is a 17th Century clock, over 350 years old, and should appeal to the European horologist.

This painted dial is probably a period replacement as the period hands are for a dial with the chapter ring inside the chapter. Someone has gouged out an area on the movement front to allow the pendulum to swing. The clock now has a gong rather than a bell. Original painted tablet has scattered loss and some inpainting. Two repro pineapple finials. Clean label inside. Original twist columns and feet. This is a scarce Jerome model worthy of restoration.

The clock has a coin slot at the top. When a nickel was deposited, it triggered the strike train of the clock which drives a token dispensing system. A modified countwheel will dispense one, two, and on rare occasion, three tokens in the tray mounted to the side of the clock. Tokens were then exchanged for small items at the retail location.
CONDITION:
balance wheel train of the movement will need attention. The token dispenser works well and comes with two tokens of the right type. Paper dial is stained. Black enamel case has small scratches and losses. Original sign that was mounted to the top is absent. Brass coin tray is inside the clock.

CONDITION:
The adamantine finish has minor loss in several areas along the edges. The porcelain dial has a faint hairline crack. The hands are original. The movement is stamped 89M and the striking mechanism is stamped 90.

CONDITION:
Dial cleaned and relined, original case finish in nice condition, original lacquer on weight, original printed label in the base of the clock is still readable, but discolored.
