The silvered brass dial has moon.
CONDITION: the case retains its original finish and is in excellent condition. The lower backboard is absent. The moon phase has darkened and losses. The chains need to be reset. The torpedo weights may be replacements. This clock with the optional ($72.50) Westminster movement retailed for $232.00 in 1911.

Painted dial looks original as the mounting holes in the dial match those in the case, but there are some extra unexplained holes just below 6 and just above 12 o'clock. The dial has some minor loss at the mounting screws, in the center and at the winding arbor. Wood pendulum rod is a replacement. Original label inside the case.

CONDITION: Heavy cast brass case has some surface tarnish from the breakdown of the lacquer finish. DESCRIPTION: Horace Tift, North Attleboro, Mass., 8 day, weight brass movement Patent or banjo timepiece.
CONDITION: Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish has some very small damage on the bottom door and a small chip on the throat door. Both original tablets are cracked. There is also a repair made to the dial door. Period dial that looks to be original has some small repairs to correct paint loss. The movement stamped "L. A. Hall & Co." is most likely not original as it is not the type found in a Tift and the backboard has been recessed to fit this movement. The pendulum rod is not original as it has a hook at the bottom and would not work with the period bob. Period hands and finial.
