CONDITION: Partially stripped mahogany colored case with some dings and dents on top and bottom. The door is a later replacement. The movement has been moved from its original position to fit the painted metal dial with a later paper replacement. The unsigned movement is perhaps a replacement as Seth Thomas usually marked their movements. The label [and backboard] are after 1865, but the case is before 1850. Ht 26.5"

CONDITION: Rosewood veneered case in original finish with veneer damage on the right side just below the dial door. Dial door has several shrinkage cracks. The panel on the bottom of the case maybe a replacement. The dial included looks to be from a Seth Thomas Regulator No. 1. There are also numerous holes in the case from other dials. Included is the original damaged tablet that could be used as a guide in the restoration. Hands look to be original. The baffle board and weight are missing. Hands are too short and not original style. Ht 33"

CONDITION: this highly finished timepiece clearly was inspired by Harrison's H-1, and its action replicates what can be seen at the Greenwich Observatory. The lacquered brass and wood base are in nearly-new condition, and we watched it tick for some minutes but cannot vouch for its long-term operation since these unusual reproductions can be fussy.
