DESCRIPTION: Baird Clock Co., Plattsburgh, New York, NY, "Jolly Tar Pastime Old Honesty Plank Rd", advertising wall clock with an 8 day, time only, spring driven movement in a painted mixed wood case with papier mache doors displaying embossed advertising including the "TOBACCO MAN'F'RS LOUSIVILLE, KY." on the inner ring of lower door, "COMPLIMENTS OF JOHN FINZER & BRO'S" on the outer ring of lower door and "BOOT JACK" and "FIVE BROS" on medallions below papered metal dial
CONDITION: The case is in very good condition with some original finish and original paint on the paper mache lettering on the two doors and medallions. The movement is signed "Made by Seth Thomas Clock Co., for Edward. P. Baird & Co., NY and Montreal".The dial has age but may be a later replacement. The hands are original. Both door glasses are original. The lower glass has a crack.

DESCRIPTION: E. Ingraham and Co.,Bristol, Conn., "Reflector" hanging clock with a spring driven 8 day time and hour strike movement in a rosewood veneered case with grain painted doors and a dial and lower door glass advertising Pepsi Cola.
CONDITION: The case has original finish and a small amount of veneer chipping on the back edge of the case. There is minor damage to the lower door near the hinge. The movement is signed. The hands are original. The colorful Pepsi Cola advertising dial has age but is not original to the clock which dates from about 1900. The lower door glass, also advertising Pepsi Cola, has some age, however the glass was removed from the door at some point as evidenced by the rough putty surface now holding it in place. The upper door glass is original.

Original paper dial is soiled with surface scratches and abrasion. Original hands and pendulum. Clean label inside. Correct movement was made by Seth Thomas.

CONDITION: The paper mache case in very nice clean condition. There are shrinkage cracks and some slight loss to the wood panel that supports top door. Original paper dial has heavy scattered surface abrasion spread over the dial. Original hands. Partial label inside. The movement was made by LaPorte Hubbel.

DESCRIPTION: Neon Products Inc., Lima, Ohio, radio station advertising clock, electric movement with synchronous AC motor and white illumination around the dial, reverse painted glass reads "WCNT / 1210 on Every Dial / 1000 Watts / Centralia / In the Heart of Southern Illinois".
CONDITION: case is dusty, blue background paint behind the glass is flaking on the top edge, both light and clock working at the time of this writing. Established in 1946, WCNT, is an AM radio station serving the area in and around Centralia, Illinois. The station was reassigned to the call sign WILY by the FCC in 1967 and continues to broadcast to this day.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Arcadia Ball Swing" mystery clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement hidden in a 4 inch metal sphere, the small pendulum propelling a larger visible compound pendulum, the lower portion with gridiron and smaller sphere, applied arabic numerals and fancy pierced brass hands, all held aloft by the figure of a woman in flowing gown, holding and adorned with flowers.
CONDITION: cast figure with no visible breaks or losses, some original patination remains, other areas of the figure were painted long ago, movement with Ansonia name and trademark stamps, the movement is ticking, suspension springs will need to be repaired. This model does not come up for sale as often as other Ansonia swingers.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Fortuna Ball Swing" mystery clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement contained within the upper blue-painted sphere of a compound pendulum, gilt ribbon with bow-knot at top, applied arabic numerals and Louis XV style hands, all held aloft by the goddess Fortuna, with a winged putto at her feet.
CONDITION: the cast spelter statue with is dusty, but absent any obvious breaks or losses. The original patinated surface is scratched and worn in a few places but largely intact. Blue finish over nickel plated spheres is old with a few scratches and some fine spots starting to develop. Applied metal numerals have been repainted a slightly reddish gold. The suspension springs are a little kinked, but do not stop the clock from swinging and escaping. The movement is signed by Ansonia on the back plate. Fortuna was the goddess of fortune and the personification of luck to the Romans.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Gloria Ball Swing" 8 day, time only, spring driven swinging ball clock. Movement is mounted inside a painted brass sphere which has cast ribbon ornament and applied arabic numerals, Louis XV style hands, the lower section in gridiron style with smaller sphere at the bottom, all held aloft by a patinated winged female figure with a lyre, standing on a globe bound with laurel wreath and mounted to an ebonized iron base.
CONDITION: clock and statue dusty, patination on statue worn in a few places, gilding worn, left wing cracked at base but still attached to figure, paint on base with losses, opaque green paint on spheres with scratches and wear, gilding worn from numerals, movement is signed by Ansonia. This is one of the more desirable ball swinging models.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Florida" base with figural "Group No. 1089" shelf clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in a festooned fluted column with silver finish topped by two children, white enamel cartouches with roman numerals, and Louis XV style hands.
CONDITION: statue of children has no breaks or repairs. The original silver finish has started to form small blisters, but has suffered few losses thus far. Some yellowing of protective finish and a few areas that may have been touched up with metallic silver pigment. Dial cartouches and hands are excellent. Visible escapement with steel pallets.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Eureka (base with Group No. 1099 figure)" mantel clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and half hour strike visible escapement movement in a bronze finished spelter and black enameled iron case.
CONDITION: The case is in good condition with most of the original bronze finish now gone. The battle axe handle has been shortened and there is a small hole at the top of the horse. The porcelain dial is in excellent condition with no chips or hairline cracks. The hands are original. The rack and snail strike movement is signed. The statue seems a bit deep for the case top but since it was available as a separate item, it may not have matched this specific base.

CONDITION: The case is in good condition with some original bronze finish. The movement case is also in very good condition. The original paper dial is now stained. The hands are original. The convex glass in the bezel may not be original. There is some paint loss on the enamelled base. The hanging fish need to be re-attached to the statue.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Huntress" figural swinging clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement mounted inside a metal sphere with cast ribbon ornament and applied arabic numerals, Louis XV style hands, the lower section in gridiron style with smaller sphere at the bottom, all supported by patinated spelter figure of a young woman carrying game birds standing atop a black cast iron base.
CONDITION: spelter figure appears undamaged. The original patination has been spray painted recently. Large sphere with browning of original lacquer. Some of the gilt ornaments have been restored or possibly replaced. Cast ribbon on top is stamped with the number 406. Casting in front of suspension spring is of poor quality. Black cast iron base with some dings and touch ups. The movement is stamped with the name of the company and the Ansonia trademark.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Juno" swinging mystery clock, 8 day, time only, spring driven movement mounted in a metal sphere with bowknot ornament, applied brass arabic numerals, and Louis XV style hands, all attached to a gridiron style pendulum terminating in a smaller ornamental sphere, the clock held aloft by a cast figure of the goddess Juno.
CONDITION: The spelter figure has lost most of its bronze patination, but is in good condition. Signs of typical spelter degradation on the surface. Original red lacquer finish is no longer on the spheres, revealing the brass color underneath. The cast gilded elements are in good condition. The suspension spring is kinked, but appears to serve its purpose. The movement is signed by Ansonia. In the Roman pantheon, Juno was queen of the gods.

CONDITION: black base with original finish has a few flecks of lost enamel, patination on figure and cast feet is worn but still looks good, enamel dial is very good, beveled glass is good, bezel and hanging side ornaments with gold finish, movement is signed, an impressive model.

CONDITION: The case is in very good condition. Cast ornament on the front of base is missing. The green finish on the cast spelter shows fading and areas of loss. The signed porcelain dial is very good. The thick beveled glass in the bezel is in excellent condition. The movement is signed. Pallets are carnelian. Suspension and rating assembly will need to be reinstalled.

DESCRIPTION: Henry J. Davies, New York, NY, for B. Bradley & Co., Boston, Mass., "Illuminated Alarm Clock", 30 hour, time and alarm, spring driven brass movement with Davies' patent matchstick illuminated alarm, in an walnut case with incised decorations and integrated matchstick holders, painted metal dial, black steel moon hands.
CONDITION: the walnut case is in very nice condition with an old finish. The original painted metal dial has a myriad of fine scratches that have weakened the black roman numerals. Original hands. Nearly complete paper label on the back of the case. The lighting device is missing the original oil lamp. The loop of spring steel used to hold the abrasive strip has broken and will need to replaced with a short length of clock mainspring. Ansonia often made the movements for these clocks. In this case, the movement is stamped by "H. J. Davies" who later became Ansonia's general manager. A rare clock in need of a little attention.

CONDITION: Refinished mahogany case in nice condition. The crest has some damage to the curved molding on the right side. Original porcelain dial is perfect. Original hands. The two brass weights may be replaced as they look more like Vienna regulator weights. Clean label on the back.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Regent" three piece mantel garniture, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in an elaborate cast metal case, cast dial with roman numeral enamel cartouches, black steel hands, the clock with two matching "Candelabra No. 1066", each capable of holding 5 candles.
CONDITION: the case and candelabra are in good physical condition. All three pieces have all been restored with a silver metallic finish. The rear door will need to have one of its hinge pins mended. Dial and beveled glass are both good. The hands are not typical, so may be replacements. Decorative caps for the tops of the two candelabra are absent. The signed movement strikes on a cathedral gong. An impressive set.

CONDITION: The case is in good condition with some original finish. The crest appears to be a later replacement done in walnut. There is some loss to the top of the case cross piece that supports the crest. The acorn finials at the bottom of each column are walnut and may be later replacements. The dial has a new paper. The hands have age and may be original. The movement is signed. The door glass has age. The pendulum bob has several dents. The two brass weights are quite short compared with the weights of other Santa Fe models which we have sold.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Undine and Gloria" figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a cast metal case depicting a winged woman holding a lyre.
CONDITION: the cast metal case is nice condition. One of the pins that positions the statue on the top of clock is missing. The finish has been very skillfully restored with metallic and verdigris finishes. The signed porcelain dial is very good, as is the beveled glass. The hands are simple spade replacements. The round movement is unsigned, but looks correct. A short Ansonia pendulum is included.

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Tenor" statue mantel clock with an 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with visible escapement in an enameled iron base with a bronzed spelter statue. .
CONDITION: Some of the original Japanese bronze finish on the spelter pieces remains. Missing from the statuary are the two hanging pendants, one on each side of the clock case and the two horizontal finials, one on each side of the clock case. Part of the left front swag has broken off and is missing. The statue's sheet music is a replacement. The porcelain dial is in very good condition with one very minor hairline crack. The beveled glass in the dial bezel is in excellent condition with no chips. The hands are original. The movement is signed.

CONDITION: heavy black slate case is in very good condition. Only the smallest of chips on a few of the corners. Very nice dial. Pallets are carnelian. The rear door has been relacquered at some point. Signed Ansonia movement with rear mounted rack strikes on a bell. We were unable to find this model in the reference sources. It was perhaps made for a particular retailer, though none is listed on the dial. This clock is very heavy if shipping is a consideration

DESCRIPTION: Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Pluribus" wall hanging plush clock with a spring driven balance wheel 8 day timepiece mounted on a wall hanging board.
CONDITION: This is a very unusual and scare clock . . the first that we have auctioned. The American Bald Eagle is cast in bronze with silver and gilt finish with the eagle holding an olive branch in one talon and a bunch of arrows in the other talon. The porcelain cartouche dial is in excellent condition with slight loss to the IV and V numerals. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The red velvet background is in excellent condition.
