AUCTION : 0519

Lot#: 272

DESCRIPTION: Austria, Vienna regulator, 30 day, time only, weight driven brass movement in an ebonized Biedermeier style case, two-piece roman number white enamel dial with pie crust bezel, and pierced blued steel hands.
CONDITION: the bottom six inches of the case are probably more recent. This section would have had a different configuration in the mid-19th Century. The three top and bottom center finials are replacements. The two lower side finials are original. The door glass is slightly wavy. The unsigned movement is original to the case and the dial. The dial has two fine hairline cracks. The hands and bezel are original. Seems to run fine.
