DESCRIPTION:
Thomas John Murday, The Reason Manufacturing Co., Brighton, an early electromagnetic pendulum timepiece, the mahogany case with rectangular, molded base on ball feet, containing the battery and electromagnet for impulsing the pendulum, black painted iron "A" frame with six brass pillars to which the roman numeral, transparent glass dial, brass movement with two wheel train, and crutch with Hipp toggle and contact are mounted, all beneath a glazed, trapezoidal, mahogany framed dome with molded finial, serial #60
CONDITION:
wooden components in original finish, with minor dings, scratches, and surface losses, removable rear panel of base missing, iron "A" frame with losses to surface, dial restored, hands with pink paint, movement very dirty, but complete, pendulum missing.
