DESCRIPTION: Lenzkirch AG, Lenzkirch, Germany, open-well wall clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven brass movement in a walnut case with a profusion of cast brass trim, the fancy cast dial plate with individual enamel cartouche numerals, pierced black hands, and cast pendulum with sun motif.
CONDITION: At the bottom, there is one small crack in the perimeter bronze that is not noticeable from a distance. The wood mask around the dial has splits at the top and bottom. The screws associated with the cracks have been removed. Very good dial and nice cast pendulum. The signed movement is serial number 88512. The movement is clean and strikes the hours on a large cathedral gong.
