The Keyless Clock Co., New York, NY, hanging electromechanical wall clock, the oak case with a full length door, the upper portion glazed and with carved spandrels and central carved roundel, the lower portion with scalloped skirt, and molded panel, concealing the battery, the two sections divided by a carved guilloche band, and top with molded cornice and broken pitched pediment, arabic numeral, white painted zinc dial with brass bezel, blued steel spade hands, brass movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, three wheel train, and electromagnetic remontoire, periodically resetting a gravity arm which provides power to the movement, and pendulum with rectangular wooden rod and polished, brass clad bob, battery compartment with original label with battery ordering instructions, and with an early Ever Ready battery and box
CONDITION:
case in original finish, with minor dirt and crazing, minor bumps and dings, lower portion of case sides with splits, base panel molding with gap due to shrinkage, dial paint with fine crazing and lifting, appears to have been stabilized with a clear overcoat, minor losses to dial paint at screws, at center arbor, and center of seconds bit, hands with minor oxidation, movement dirty, complete and ticking when gravity arm is reset manually, condition of circuitry unknown, pendulum with minor dents and dings, pendulum rod replaced, battery with losses at top, corrosion, and box with dirt, folds, and losses.
