DESCRIPTION: Manufacture des Ateliers Brillié Frerès, Paris, France, for J. Auricoste, Paris, "Electrique Brillié" wall clock, battery powered movement with center seconds, the heavy ball pendulum swinging through the center of the stationary electromagnet, glazed case mounted to a white marble backboard, roman / arabic white enamel dial with blackened steel Breguet hands.
CONDITION: The porcelain dial is perfect and with original signatures of Brillié and the retailer which reads, "J. Auricoste / Horologer de la Marine de l'Etat". Only the beveled front glass remains. Grooves in the brass moldings will accept replacement beveled glass panels. The hands advance when the pendulum moved manually. The original wet battery jar is now dry but still intact with Brillié label. A plate on the top of the movement is stamped "BFF 8665"
