DESCRIPTION:
Jahresuhrenfabrik, Triberg, Germany, Anton Harder patent 400 day clock, year running, spring driven movement with torsion pendulum and deadbeat escapement and flat disc pendulum, in a walnut case with glazed pendulum viewing area, roman numeral white enamel dial with patent numbers, blued steel Breguet style hands.
CONDITION:
walnut case with old or original finish. Excellent dial with patent numbers in circle read "D. R. Patent 2437 / R. L. Patent 2182 / U. S. Patent 269052". Serial stamped on black plate reads "4065 / R". Correct, early disc pendulum. It is possible that this case originally housed a swinging pendulum movement, however it is the perfect size for this early Harder movement. A very unusual 400 day clock.
