DESCRIPTION: Forestville Clock Co., Germany, 400-day clock, year running, spring driven brass movement with torsion pendulum, brass base and posts holding movement, arabic numeral arcaded white enamel dial, black steel spade hands, and pendulum with ceramic dancing figures, all under a glass dome.
CONDITION: the protective lacquer on the base has turned brown. Small scratches on the top of the base. Dial and hands are very good. The suspension is intact, though the bottom pin is currently a piece of wood. Movement is signed and corresponds to Terwilliger's plate number 1107. Uncommon pendulum with dancing figures is known to have been made by Kern and Koma. Figures are in very good condition.
