DESCRIPTION: Jahresuhren-Fabrik G.m.b.H, Triberg, Germany, miniature 400-day clock, year running, time only, spring driven brass movement with torsion pendulum in an Art Nouveau style brass case with embossed floral ornament, arabic numeral white enamel dial, black steel spade hands and miniature disc pendulum.
CONDITION: brass case with a slightly dull finish. Enamel dial signed "Baden" has three hairline cracks. Nice steel hands. Both beveled glasses are fine. Miniature disc pendulum is correct. Top block, fork, and section of suspension spring are included. The bottom block is missing but can be determined from the pendulum and Terwilliger's book. Rear movement plate corresponds to Terwilliger's plate number 1619, though this one has a clear maker's trademark. It also bears the serial number 151642. This model is featured in Terwilliger's book in the section titled "Some Outstanding Pre-World War I 400-Day Clocks", number 14.
