DESCRIPTION:
Kienzle GmbH, Schwenningen, Germany, Louvre style 400-day clock, year running, time only, spring driven movement with torsion pendulum and gimbaled suspension mount in a polished brass case with five columns, arabic numeral white enamel dial, all under a glass dome fitted inside of the columns and capped with a pierced dome.
CONDITION:
brass case is bright and well-cared for. Some signs of solder around the cap at the top of the dome. Enamel dial is excellent. Disc pendulum with serial number on the bottom matches the one on the clock movement. Suspension is complete with gimbaled top mount. Unsigned movement reads "Germany" and serial number 115531. Rear plate looks to be number 1167 in Terwilliger's reference book. A very unusual clock with the dome located inside of the columns.
