DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Cornice & Column" shelf clock with a weight driven 8 day time, strike and alarm movement in a rosewood veneered case with shell columns and gilt caps, c1868. (2) Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn., shelf clock with a weight driven time and strike wooden works movement in a mahogany veneered case with a carved eagle splat, c1830. (3) Forestville Mfg. Co., Bristol, Conn., Cornice and Column shelf clock with a weight driven 8 day time and strike brass movement in a mahogany case, c1840.
CONDITION: (1) The case is in very nice condition and has been completely refinished including regilding of the column caps. The dial has been repainted. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The dial glass and two reverse tablets are original. (2) The case has been refinished and is in very good condition. The painted wooden dial has had restoration. The hands are original. The case label is excellent. The upper door glass is original, but the lower door tablet is replaced. (3) The refinished case is in good condition with a couple of veneer repairs. The painted dial is original. The hands are original. The upper door glass is original. The lower two tablets are replaced, but on old glass.
