DESCRIPTION:
E.N. Welch Mfg. Co., Bristol, Conn., "Regulator No. 11" wall clock, 8 day, time only, dual weight driven nickel plated movement with meter long pendulum and center seconds in an oak case, 9 inch roman numeral dial and black steel spade hands.
CONDITION:
this clock has received various restorations of mixed quality including the case bottom which has been improperly remade. The case has an old finish with crazing. The painted dial has been covered over with a celluloid replacement. The nice feature of this model is its nickel plate movement. Welch supplied this type of movement to the Ithaca Clock Company for their hanging and standing seconds beating calendars. Welch used this movement in some of his better models, but not the typical 30 day movement usually found in the Regulator No. 11. In any event, it is a very desirable movement that does not become available very often.
