DESCRIPTION: Urania / Jahresuhrenfabrik, Triberg, Germany, 400-day clock, year running, time only, spring driven movement with torsion disc pendulum on brass posts mounted to a black turned wood base, arabic numeral white enamel dial with back steel spade hands, all under a glass dome.
CONDITION: brass parts have a medium-dark patina. Painted wood base has a few small nicks and dents. Signed dial is very good. Nice disc pendulum. Suspension is complete. There is no suspension guard. Rear plate corresponds to Terwilliger's plate number 1047. The plate lists patent numbers related to a compensating pendulum which was not always included with clocks bearing these patent numbers. The plate read "D.R.P. No. 144688 / U.S.P. No. 751686". It is also stamped with serial number 54432.
