DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Concord" shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike (cathedral gong) movement in a walnut case, c1885. (2) F. Kroeber, New York, NY, "Occidental" shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike (cathedral gong) movement in a walnut case, c1880.
CONDITION:
(1) The clock has lost the top piece (mounting holes visible on the case top) as well as the two pendants which attached to the top of the door side rails and the two acorn finials attached to the bottom of the door side rails. The case retains some original finish. The lyre movement is signed. The painted dial has discolored. The door glass and stencilled design are original. (2) The clock has been refinished. The paper dial is new. The hands are original. The two statues are new. The cut glass pendulum bob is original. The side mirrors are original. Dimensions are for clock number two (2)
