DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three) (1) Seymour, Williams, & Porter, Farmington, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike weight wood movement short case quarter column and splat shelf clock with carved paw feet, c1832 (2) Olcott Cheney, Middletown, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike weight wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock, c1830 (3) Chauncey Ives, Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike weight wood movement pillar and scroll shelf clock, c1830
CONDITION: (1) Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish in nice condition. Original stenciling. Tablet by Tom Moberg was restored in place. Original dial has some wear to the numbers. Original hands. (2) Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish. Original scrolls have a repair at the right scroll. There is damage to the tips on the bottom skirt. Reverse painted tablet has had some restoration. The dial looks replaced. Period hands. There no finials. (3) Mahogany and mahogany veneered in an old finish. A couple of veneer chips on the door. Feet have been replaced. The original scrolls are a bit rough with repairs to both scrolls. Original tablet has some small scattered loss. Movement probably by Ephraim Downs. The dial is lightly soiled with some light wear to the chapter ring. There are no finials.
