DESCRIPTION:
Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Ship's Bell No. 16" clock, barometer, and thermometer desk set, 8 day, time and ship's strike, spring driven balance wheel movement in a bronze finish case taking the form of two yacht wheels.
CONDITION:
Bronze finish case has significant spotting, which appears to be degradation of the protective lacquer. The original Waterbury clock movement has been replaced with a Chelsea movement that is likely of much higher quality and fits the case very well. The Chelsea movement is serial number 559671, dating to around 1950. Good silvered dials. Mercury thermometer is intact and working.
