DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Tenor" statue mantel clock with an 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with visible escapement in an enameled iron base with a bronzed spelter statue. .
CONDITION:
Some of the original Japanese bronze finish on the spelter pieces remains. Missing from the statuary are the two hanging pendants, one on each side of the clock case and the two horizontal finials, one on each side of the clock case. Part of the left front swag has broken off and is missing. The statue's sheet music is a replacement. The porcelain dial is in very good condition with one very minor hairline crack. The beveled glass in the dial bezel is in excellent condition with no chips. The hands are original. The movement is signed.
