CONDITION:
The Boley F1 was designed for the turning of pivots and staffs. When used for these tasks, the lathe was operated from the tailstock end. The paint on the lathe is chipped and cracked in a few places. The headstock is fitted with a grinding wheel, suggesting it was used for this purpose. The motor ran well during our brief test, but was not tested extensively.

CONDITION:
shaft to crank that adjusts the depth of cut is bent and prohibits the crank from making a full revolution. There are a few very small scratches on the inner portion of index plate where the latch was not raised adequately before turning. The tool has a nice patina and is well made.
