DESCRIPTION:
G. G. Berger, Germany, cuckoo and quail wall clock, 30 hour, time and bell strike with animated cuckoo and quail which calls on the quarters, three weight brass movement in a wood case featuring foliage, grapes, and a fox carved below the dial, painted wood cuckoo and quail birds with articulated beaks and wings, the dial with bone hands.
CONDITION:
Crest is absent. Bellows have been replaced with modern materials. Stem is missing from the end of the leaf on pendulum bob. Red painted steel bells inside of rear door. Weights are modern replacements. The signed movement ticks, strikes, and both the birds perform.
