DESCRIPTION: Switzerland, watchmaker's wheel cutting engine, brass with iron legs and steel hardware, screw feed adjustment for positioning cutting spindle, 5.25 inch diameter brass dividing plate with 30 rows of holes, the counts ranging from 11 to 360, 19th century.
CONDITION: shaft to crank that adjusts the depth of cut is bent and prohibits the crank from making a full revolution. There are a few very small scratches on the inner portion of index plate where the latch was not raised adequately before turning. The tool has a nice patina and is well made.
