DESCRIPTION: Frederic Nicoud, Chaux de Fonds, lady's gold pocket watch, 17 jewels, key wind and set, damascened nickel bar movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in an 18 karat, yellow gold, reeded edge, engine turned and engraved hunting case with maker's details engraved on gold cuvette and split pusher for opening front and back covers, Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, gilt and blued steel Breguet style hands, serial #38073, 41mm, 58.9g TW, c1880.
CONDITION: CASE: Tiny dent, front cover; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Minor oxide and loss to blue. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Screws with oxidation; One dust guard screw broken; Center wheel with replaced teeth; Oily, dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
