DESCRIPTION: Edison Phonograph Co., "Edison Gem", Circa 1901, cylinder phonograph with approximately 21 cylinder records, less horn.
CONDITION: reproduction horns are available via the internet. Oak veneered case is in nice condition in an original finish with the gold name banner intact. Machine is very clean with most of the gold decoration intact. Reproducer is included. A handle is included which may or may not be original to this model, but it does work to wind it. The drive pulley inside the case that supplies the power to belt appears to be loose on its arbor and will need attention.

CONDITION: Case retains original finish with some nicks and scrapes. The home made top is made of old wood, but is really not the proper style for the case. Well made Becker mov't is dirty but still ticks and strikes. Celluloid chapter ring has some cracks and is beginning to deteriorate. Nice embossed brass pendulum depicts a young lady with large blossoms in her hair and a starry halo. Ht 29"

CONDITION: walnut veneered box in fair condition has a warped and cracked top and bottom with loss to the brand inlay on the lid. Comb is intact. There is no key with this box, so we are unable to verify the spring is good, but Dr. Newman felt sure it was playing in the past. Fourteen discs are included, although some have surface rust. Sold as-is. Key is a slotted tube with a handle on the end, simple enough to make. Includes "O Tannenbaum" and some other recognizeable tunes. Ht 7"

DESCRIPTION: Sangamo Electric Co., Springfield, Ill., Circa 1928, An ingenious designed movement that uses jewel double-roller lever escapement from a 16 size Illinois pocket watch. The balance wheel is visible on the dial. An electric motor winds the movement in minute increments as needed and allowing the clock to run 30 hours if the electricity goes out. At the time the cycles per second had not been standardized and this clock still had to capacity to keep accurate time.
CONDITION: mahogany veneered case in very clean condition in an original finish wigh some minor blemishes. Original silvered dial some minor tarnish. Hands are original. Original cord is starting to fray, and for safety should be replaced. Ht 9"

CONDITION: very good condition overall. The cast top and bottom have some oxidation. The movement appears to have been cleaned and is running briskly. The 2-vial pendulum is intact, dial perfect with good signature, and all the beveled glass is excellent. CONDITION: refinished mahogany veneered case in especially clean condition. Dial and movement are both signed C. Jerome, but these seem to be replacements as there are blocks inside the case for a movement with a full-width seatboard that would slide into the groves. Hands are period. Design on the tablet is well preserved. An example of a very similar case with the S. B. Terry movement is shown in "Horology Americana", pg. 184; this was most likely in this case originally. Note also that the pendulum bob has been modified so that this mov't will keep time in this case. Mov't is clean & runs briskly. Ht 19.75"

CONDITION: nicely patinated old refinish, the original dial is in good conditon with no losses and only minor discoloration and strong signature, the label giving directions on case back is fully intact and easy to read and the label inside the case is 80%+ intact and legible, the gilt transfer of the glass is in excellent condition with almost no loss, cast Seth Thomas pendulum bob with lion's head motif. Ht 23 1/2"

CONDITION: discs are in are overall in good condition with all but a few projections intact; many of them with some light surface rust caused by minor water damage. This disc fits a variety of Symphonion boxs, but especially the model 48R wall clock with music box in lower section.

DESCRIPTION: Terhune & Edwards, New York, Circa 1865, 30-hour time/strike iron front mantel clock.
CONDITION: iron front case in fairly good condition with some of the paint remaining on the cast flowers. Scene in the center has some stains and discoloration. Original paper dial with wear, staining and loss. Hands appear to be original. Clean label inside case. Runs briskly. Nice Americana. Ht 16.25"

CONDITION: the case has been refinished to a golden color. Rear hanger is absent and brackets and a strong wire have been added / replacements are available from Timesavers.com. Dial was replaced long ago, correct for the pan. There is a sliver of wood missing on rt side of door. Hands are one size too small. Runs. Ht as shown 34"
